Reigate Priory travelled to Cuckfield Rangers on Saturday and found themselves one nil down in just forty seconds when Rangers’ leading scorer Luke Trotter headed home from close range. However the Priory response was immediate and in-form winger Callum Johnson superbly curled the ball into the far corner from just outside the box, just a minute later.

Midway through the half, Priory took the lead, a perfectly weighted through ball from James Long was coolly finished by Marcus Best-Osborne. Shortly before the end of the first half Tom Hayden played in James Long who finished at the second attempt having had his first shot blocked.

Early in the second half, Priory’s two goal lead was halved when a cross shot was headed in at the near post and shortly after Cuckfield levelled when teenage goalkeeper Jacob Terry was unable to hold on to a low cross, the ball fell kindly for the home side who took advantage tapping home from close range.

The game ended 3-3 leaving both sides just inside the top half of the Mid Sussex Premier League.
